Photography Lab

Before you begin your chosen direction of photography, which is offered as a major direction from the second year, you will spend a year doing the Introductory Studies art course. During this year, you will study various theoretical and practical art subjects such as drawing, graphic design, painting and sculpture, as well as photography, the latter being a component of two dimensional studies. The course is largely digital with a good balance between outdoor and studio photography. All post production image editing is performed in large, well equipped computer laboratories.

This first year is fundamental in developing your conceptual and observational skills, as well as giving you a taste of what to expect in the photographic environment.

Then, after successfully completing the first year, you will apply to progress into the full time photography course, with its own related practical and theoretical subjects.

Please carefully read the entrance requirements information.
